How Do Learners Review and Enroll in Online Courses and Curricula Within the SkillSync Learning Mobile App?

The following is available to Learners if their portal has been enabled for the SkillSync Learning Mobile App. Learn more about this feature here.

The SkillSync Learning Mobile App allows Learners to view their Course Catalog and enroll and complete Online Courses and Curricula through an iOS or Android device. This app is only available to Learners if the app has been enabled in their Portal. In this article, we outline how Learners can use the mobile app to enroll in and complete Online Courses and Curricula.  

Course content will only be available on the mobile app if the Catalog Visibility > Enable for Mobile App toggle has been enabled in the Course's settings. Learners can also choose to download the Courses and complete them offline. You can read more about downloading and syncing progress offline here.

Accessing Online Content in the App

Once you have downloaded the app, you can access Course content on your mobile device. To enroll in Courses or Curricula using the mobile app, please follow the steps below:

1. Log into the mobile app using Single Sign-On (SSO). This will open a new page where you can view My Courses and the Catalog. Alternatively, you can find a Course through the Categories tree. This can be enabled by pressing Show Categories next to the sorting drop down.
   
   
   

2. Click Catalog. You can scroll through the available Courses until you find one you wish to enroll in.
   
   

3. Click View to open the Course or Curricula Details page. This page contains the Description, Chapter information, and other details about the Course.
   

   Completed Courses in Catalog

   If the Catalog has been set to include Courses that are completed, you may see Courses or Curricula that say 0% to 100% to indicate that they are already enrolled and in progress.

4. Click Enroll at the bottom of that page to enroll in the Course.
   
   
   
   Curriculum Enrollment

   If you are enrolled in a Curriculum, select View and then Enroll for the individual Courses that you want to complete in the Curriculum

   

5.  Click Start to begin the Course. 
   

   Course Progress and Offline Completion

   The lock in the previous screenshot indicates that Pace Progress is set ON and that you must complete Chapter 1 before 2 is available.

   You can also choose to download the Courses and complete them offline. This article discusses the steps of downloading Courses for offline use.

Resuming Courses in the Mobile App

When a Learner accesses a Course but does not complete it in the same Session, they can resume progress on the Course when they return to the app.

To access Courses that you have already started, please advise the following steps:

1. In the mobile app, click on My Courses.
   
   
   
2. Locate the Course you want to resume. Click on the Course title to open the Course Details page.
3. Click the arrow to expand the Course Details.
   
   
   
4. In the Course Details section, click the Resume button.
