Add Synthesia Video Avatar as Embedded Content in SkillSync Create

Creators can include Video Avatars from several providers including Synthesia into their SkillSync Create Courses by providing an External Content URL in an External Content slide in Create. To implement this functionality, follow these steps:

1. Access SkillSync Create.
2. Select External Content from the Add Page Menu.
   
   
   
3. Paste the relevant video link/URL from the provider into the External Content URL field.
   
   
   
4. Publish the External Content.

Video Link from Synthesia

The format of the video link/URL used for this External Content looks like this:

• https://share.synthesia.io/{videoid}

In Synthesia this link may be accessed from the Advanced settings menu:

From Advanced settings you may select either Copy embed code or Copy video link:

You may use either option to obtain the correct value for the External Content URL field in SkillSync Create. The Copy video link option will instantly give you a URL that can be used for the External Content URL field. The Copy embed code field will require you to paste the copied code into a text editor, extract the embed URL and use that URL as the value for the External Content URL field.

The URL extracted from the embed code will look like:

• https://share.synthesia.io/embeds/videos/{videoid}

Extracting the embed URL may provide a more immersive video experience when used as an External Content slide in your Course.
