Custom Themes in Create AI

In Create AI, Users can now create Custom Themes using their organization's brand colors and fonts. This update allows Users to enable AI compatible themes and utilize AI tools to customize themes within SkillSync Create.

In this article we will outline how to create a Custom Theme using Create AI, and answer some related questions.

Creating a Custom Theme

To customize an AI compatible theme for your organization, please follow these steps:

1. In SkillSync Create, open an existing Course.
   
   
2. Click on the Appearance tab on the right side of the Editor view.
   
   
3. At the top of the Appearance menu, click Save as a new theme to save the current theme (not the slides) as a Custom Theme.
   
   
   
4. Click on the drop-down menu under Course Theme.
   
   
5. Locate the new Custom Theme and click on the kebab menu (three vertical dots) next to the Theme name.
   
   
   
6. Select Edit Theme.
   
   
   
7. You will be redirected to the Theme Editor view. Note that this is different from the Course Editor view.
   
   
8. Click on the drop-down menu in Theme Templates on the top menu bar and toggle on AI Compatible to enable AI Themes. The toggle may take a few seconds to react to your click. Please only click once and wait.
   
   
   
9. Select one of the AI Themes and customize the slides according to your organization's branding. You can customize multiple AI Themes.
   

   

   Element AI Types

   Note that each AI element has an AI Type, and you can change and edit different Types. Not all AI Types behave the same.

10. Once all slides have been customized, click Back to Editor in the top left to return to the Course Editor view.
    
    
11. Click on the Home button in the top left corner to return to your Create Course List screen.
    
    
    
12. Click on Create on the top bar and click AI Course from the available options in the Create Course window.
    
    
    
13. In the AI Course Editor, select your preferred theme from the right side of the menu under Theme.

1. How many themes can I create?
   A: You can create an unlimited number of Custom Themes, but each theme will only have one set of AI slide themes.
   
   
2. What if I change the details of a slide theme, will it change all the Creations with that theme?
   A: No, once a Course is published, it will not change based on future changes to the theme.
